He is also on engine team and focusing on optimizing the new intake for the new race motor. When he is not working on the car, Rex enjoys playing basketball and napping. He hopes to pursue a future in automotive engineering and eventually start his own business in the automotive field.

After taking a year away from school to work in F1 with the Infiniti Engineering Academy, he is excited to finish his studies and apply all of his newly learned skills to the Illini Motorsports team. Away from racing and engineering, he enjoys hanging out with his friends and eating Mexican food.

His love of tackling real world challenges and disdain of sleep has led him to the Formula team, where he thrives in fulfilling both goals. When he's not sanding or tinkering with the pretty picture generator (PPG aka CFD), he can usually be found avidly yelling at his TV during Patriots games or playing video games. After graduating, he hopes to pursue graduate studies in Mechanical Engineering and eventually go onto work in the automotive industry.
